Marble

Marble has been around a long time, roughly 400 million years. It is a softer then Granite but usually contains large veins and fossils making it naturally stunning to look at. It is ideal for floors and walls, however it requires more maintenance then Granite due to its softness and high porosity. Areas of high foot traffic would cause the marble to lose its shine over time, this can me corrected by having the floor repolished, this is costly however. The most popular marbles are in our collection viewer. We do also offer other marbles that are less well known, so if you dont see the material your after please just get in contact. Ferazzi can also offer a custom service to cut tiles to any size from slab (middle picture above is custom floor tiles by Ferazzi 3 meters by 1.8 meters)

Granite

Granite is an ingneous rock

Granite is highly durable and is often the choice for high traffic areas and outdoor application, granite can range from 600 Million - 1.1 Billion years old, over this period of time the molecules within the stone have become so compressed they have bonded and formed Granite. Granite is used for flooring, quite often the granite is flamed or honed to make it non slip, however it is still common to see polished granite around. Ferazzi can offer custom cut sizes from slab as well as all other standard size tiles, the most popular granite colours for floors can be viewed in our collection viewer.

Porcelan - New range of products

Ferazzi can now offer full range of porcelan tiles for flooring or wall cladding, porcelan is very hard wearing and often comes in various textures and shades, cream, beige, greys. Check out our porcelan section below for more details, often porcelan is a more cost effective option to natural stone it also will not absorb any liquids.
